BARNUM CITY PARK

 The Barnum City Park is located in the center of town. The Moosehorn River meanders through the park. The centralized location is an added positive aspect as downtown Barnum is within easy walking distance. A nature path along the river provides another avenue of enjoyment. The park features:

• Pavilion
• Picnic areas
• Horseshoe pits
• Volleyball nets
• Restrooms
• Limited camping

R0BERT JOHNSON MEMORIAL PARK

(RJM Park)  This recreational facility is available through a cooperative agreement by the city and the school district. Named after a longtime mayor and teacher in Barnum, the park is open to the public for all summertime activities, and no user fee is charged. The park features:

• Tennis courts (lighted)
• Ballfields (I lighted)
• Playground equipment
• Concession area
• Restrooms

HANGING HORN PARK

This city operated park is located along the Moosehorn River, just two miles from Barnum. A boat landing makes this park a natural for gaining access to the Hanging Horn Lakes. The park is open to the public, with no charge for boat landing and a nominal fee for nightly camping. The park features:

• Picnic area
• Boat/ Canoe launching area
• Primitive campsites
• Public water well.

BEAR LAKE COUNTY PARK

This Carlton County operated facility is located at the city limits of Barnum. Swimming, fishing, picnicking are without user fees, overnight camping requires a nominal fee. The park features:

• Swimming beach (lifeguards)
• Picnic areas Camping (with hookups)
• Restrooms and showers
• Fishing dock
• Playground equipment
• Boat launching area

BENT TROUT LAKE

 This private campground and fishing lake is located six miles from Barnum. It is unique as the private lake Is yearly stocked with a variety of trout for the avid fisherman.
