ORDINANCE NO 83
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A SALARY AND
PER DIEM FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BARNUM
The City Council of the City of Barnum does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. Each member of the City Council of the City of Barnum will receive a quarterly salary of $25.00 for serving on the Council along with a per diem amount of $20.00 for regularly scheduled meeting and $10.00 for each special meeting attended. The salary and per diem will be paid upon completion of the Quarters being: 1st Quarter including January, February and March; 2nd Quarter including April, May and June; 3rd Quarter including July, August and September; 4th Quarter including October, November and December.
Section 2. The Mayor of the City Council of the City of Barnum will receive a quarterly salary of $50.00 for serving as Mayor along with a per them amount of $30.00 for each regularly scheduled meeting and $20.00 for each special meeting attended. The salary and per them will be paid upon completion of the quarter as stated in Section 1.
Section 3. When the Mayor is absent and the appointed "Acting Mayor" is active in the Mayor's absence, the acting Mayor will be paid the salary and per them of the Mayor for the period that he or she serves as "Acting Mayor".
Section 4. The effective date of the salary and per diem amount paid will be January 1, 1989, after the next regular City election which is November 8, 1988.
